National Singles Preparation in
Mesa AZ
The Bud Walrath National Singles starts February 9, 2009 at Mesa Spirit RV Resort. This installment will give the reader a "birds eye" view of what is being
done to be ready for the event:
1. The DRAW - because of the size of our fields in all Mesa Tourneys,
the draw is usually done 2 days before the event and then posted at the
Host Park. 2 Divisions: Amateur Ladies
32 entries; Amateur Men
60 entries; Pro Ladies
33 entries; Pro Men
46 entries. Total Participants 170
players. Interestingly enough there are 5
Canadian Provinces Represented and 23
U.S. States Represented, also 30
valley parks had participants entered. The draw process is shown on the right, you can see
the Tournament Director, Arnie Anderson, and the President of District 1, Rob Robinson Charting people Patt Heithoff and Paul Bilderback.
2. The Flags - Here you can see Rob Robinson and George Dahl Hanging the 50 State Flags and the 12 Canadian Province Flags at the Mesa Spirit RV Resort. This is done only for this particular event to make it even more special.
