The 30th Western Shuffleboard Association Team Tournament makes History
today when it becomes the 1st ever U.S. National Team Tourney. Today November
7, 2010--I will chronicle the 3 events that occurred today with photos.
Event #1 - the kick-off of the event always starts with the morning CAPTAINS
MEETING. The 24 Team Captains will be given any new rules/regulations
pertaining to the Tourney by Rob Robinson, Tournament Director

Here you will see
Lee Wastell, Captain
of the Nevada Silver
Shufflers, drawing

team position from
Jack Sell, President of
District 1. In the next
couple of hours all
Team captains will
work dilligently in order to provide their players with the weekly schedule
of play regarding where and when they play each day. Remember from my first
article, Cal-Am parks in Mesa are sponsoring this event - with the draw just
described being held at Mesa Regal (Pleas check out the Cal-Am link provided

Event 2 - In the early afternoon, we are at the Mesa Regal Ballroom with
nearly 400 shufflers meeting with their respective teams and renewing old
Friendships.
Also occurring in the meeting are special announcements by Rob Robinson and
some other players and sponsors.
Here you can see Camille Keeler, The Cal-Am representative addressing
the group.
During my time before the group, .I introduced
Bob Weber of Clearwater, FL,

I call Bob the Rob Robinson of the East! Bob will play on the
California
Panthers.
