This is a "get ready" for the WESTERN TEAM TOURNAMENT.

WESTERN TEAM TOURNAMENT MAKES HISTORY!

This will be the 30th year that the W.S.A. will be held, in this authors opinion, this is the Finest Tournament in The World - it's my 17th. Starting in 1981 with just 4 teams, it has expanded to 24 teams with 16 players per team - that's 384 players to kick-off the 2010-2011 Shuffleboard Season in Mesa, Arizona. This year History is being made as the team with the highest winning percentage will be declared National Team Champion! Each player on this team will be the first recipients of a New National Team Pin - what an honor that will be! The Tournament this year is being sponsored by Cal-Am Properties who will not only pay for all of the wax, but will provide free water, coffee, and donuts at each of the 3 venues for all 6 days of the Tourney (Please check out the Cal-Am link provided above.) The 3 Cal-Am parks used in the Tournament are in District one - They are Val Vista Village, Good Life and Towerpoint. The Tourney officially begins on Sunday, November 7th at Mesa Regal(another Cal-AM facility) The 24 Team Captains will draw for team number in the morning. In the afternoon, also at the Mesa Regal all 384 players will be there to meet with their respective team and renew old acquaintances as well. At the conclusion of this festivity, the Annual Western Meeting will be held. Look for my second story on this event after the Sunday November 7 meetings.
